146 - Behind the Resourced Launch: Business, Boundaries & Sacred Reciprocity

What does it actually look like to opt out of urgency while running a business, launching a program, raising a family, and navigating life's unexpected challenges?

In this episode of Threshold Moments, Sarah takes you behind the scenes of her recent Resourced launch, sharing the highs, the challenges, and the lessons that unfolded along the way.

From navigating family time and physical setbacks to receiving difficult feedback, setting boundaries, and traveling to Peru while her cart was still open, Sarah reflects on what it means to build a sustainable business without abandoning yourself in the process.

She also explores the power of storytelling, the importance of listening to your community, and the practice of sacred reciprocity—honoring both what we give and what we receive.

This episode is an invitation to consider how we can pursue meaningful goals, honor our capacity, and create space for both ambition and rest.

Episode Transcript:

[00:00:00] Hello, Threshold Moment listeners. Today, I plan on sharing with you the path of the resource launch, and if you're like, "Why would I wanna hear that?" I think you might be interested in it, one, because I do believe some of my listeners, maybe 50%, are entrepreneurial women. But I do believe that almost all of my listeners are heart-based humans who have goals, who have things in mind, and on their path to their goals arise the questions of, "Oh, how do I do this while also attending to my friendships, my family, my..."

Uh, maybe your parents have needs for care. Maybe you have kids. Maybe you have animals. Uh, maybe you have a lover or friends, right? All these other people, and then, oh, you yourself. [00:01:00] Self-care How do we have a goal and let it be a sustainable part? And maybe not even just sustainable, but how does it fuel us, and how do we fuel it?

And then when challenges arise, when schedules don't line up well, when injuries or sickness come in, like what do we do? And so for some of you, this might be someone being like, "Okay, how did she actually do her launch? How did it go?" All the details. I know I love details like that. And for others, it may be more of the bigger lessons, or maybe it's even like the accompaniment of like, "Oh yeah, I totally, I totally felt that," or, "So interesting that she took that path."

I believe, on top of sharing information with you, is that storytelling is a lost art, and that storytelling is something our ancestors did around the fire pit [00:02:00] or while weaving or cooking or cleaning or hunting and gathering that made us feel like we were part of something, that made us feel like we could relate, that we weren't alone.

And so not only will I story tell on the launch, but I definitely wanna share with you my trip to Peru that he- happened during this launch as well. We'll start with this launch. Back in June, Heather, who is my virtual assistant and really helps to make this whole launch happen ... I wouldn't want to do it without her.

I wouldn't wanna have to try to figure out how to do it without her. I wouldn't have the hours to do it without her. Uh, I love her energy. I love her focus. I love her proactive nature. And I also love the fire that she has. Sometimes it's like, "All right. Come on, Sara. Like, it's time to start preparing so that [00:03:00] we are not in urgency during opt-in out of urgency."

And so it's June, and we're talking about doing a pre-launch. So last year... Actually, I'm gonna back it up a little bit more 'cause I think this is super helpful. I decided to take part in a mastermind, and this is the first mastermind I've ever paid to be in that is for business. And that coach said to me, "Have you done interviews with people who have bought from you, with people who decided not to buy from you?"

And I was like, "That sounds like a good idea." And It sounds so obvious, right? And it, to me, it feels so different than testimonials. These questions were really like, "Where were you at last year when you said yes to buying Resourced? Um, what was going on? How would you describe this to somebody at the dinner table?"

Um, questions that just weren't like, uh, [00:04:00] what is a testimonial you can give me, right? Like, I wanted to know, like, how do, how do you feel when you hear, uh, Resourced, when you hear over responsibility, when you hear burdened, when you hear supported, when you hear layers of support? Like, really just getting in, like, how do things feel These interviews were so pivotal I spoke to two women in particular.

They were-- Now I know that these, uh, interviews take closer to half an hour . I thought they'd be like ten to fifteen minutes. Um, and two of the women who got back to me right away, I really never saw on the live calls. I think maybe they both made it to one live call. And since I'm not much of a person for listening to recordings, I am always like, "Oh, I gotta listen to it live, otherwise I'm not gonna get back to it."

And so I just kind of figured if they weren't there, they weren't taking it, and I was [00:05:00] so wrong. These women went through the program. They listened to every course. And I had gotten feedback last year from people who said, "I usually don't finish online courses, but this time I finished every single course at every call, whether I was there live or listened to recordings."

People saying, "I went back by choice, by desire." So these women went through the program, and they, uh, went through the m- some of the material twice, and they went to through the daily drips twice. And they were telling me how it changed their marriages, how it changed their work relationship, how they can actually slow down, how they can pause, how they can pattern interrupt.

And they gave me very specific examples of how they pattern interrupt and how it's changed their life and how they're re-patterning and how they're choosing their pacing. And my mind was like... You would think that somebody leading the course would be like, "Of course, this was the whole plan. This is what it's supposed to do."

[00:06:00] And still my mind was blown. And over and over, um-- And some of the people I... From the feedback forms that they filled out at the end of the year, I said, "Hey, can I use this one line?" And then someone wrote back, "Yeah, totally." And the line was nice. It was like a nice line. And then when they respond like, "Yeah, you totally can.

Resourced changed my life." And they'd say like two more things. I'm like, "Wait, can I, can I go further with that one?" So I first wanna say that, uh, the feedback forms, if any of you are entrepreneurs in any way, and if you're online like I am, you-- My experience is I can put my work out into the world, and I do it because I love it, but I don't really know because I'm not with the people every single week one on one to say like, "What's new now?

How is it working?" So just like, yeah, if you get a chance, if it feels right to you to do interviews with people who bought from you or who didn't [00:07:00] buy from you, and go through and ask them questions that where you're really trying to understand like the inside of their life, it's-- Oh, man, it just-- It really filled me up, and it really, really inspired me.

So that took some time. And From there, we're suddenly in June, right? 'Cause I started this, uh, coaching course in April. Now we're in June, and we're deciding to do a pre-launch, which means that I am going to offer up Resource to people who took it last year, and I offer it at a pretty beautiful discount, in my opinion.

And I'll just tell you the numbers, right? So the course this year was seventeen fifty, and so for retakers, seven hundred and fifty. And we had a thirty percent of people re-sign up, and for them, in that sequence, I did f- three to four emails where I expressed, um, the [00:08:00] power of repetition. Um, I shared it through, like, athletics and through my own going through Alchemical Alignment six times and then the advanced modules twice and what it does for people in general, what it did for me.

But then I also offered up the feedback that came in for people who said, like, "These are the things that I would have loved to be different in Resource." And then speaking on, like, "I really heard you, so this year we're gonna do the Q&As. And this year, uh, the Daily Drips, which you all love so much, they're gonna happen after, and here's why," right?

Like, I could say, like, "I really heard the feedback, and here's how we're gonna update the course to meet your needs even more. And on top of that, I've grown, and so there are some things that are going to change in the course and be updated even from last year." Uh, I also shared one email that was just the testimonials that came in through these interviews.

Uh, then I offered it [00:09:00] to my Juice crew, so that's another eight emails. Just wanna tell you, I wrote a lot of emails, and many of you might be like, "Well, you could just put it into AI." And I did work with AI, but, um, emails are very personal to me, and, uh, the stories matter to me, and so it still takes me time.

This is what I wanna say. It still takes me a good amount of time. And the people in my membership, it was really like, you know, here in Juice, here are some things that you all have said about what you've gained. And in Resource, it's a bit like moving from taking a yoga class, which has huge benefits, maybe changed your life, maybe you're sleeping better, to taking the teacher training, not because you necessarily wanna teach it, but possibly because you wanna learn the why.

Because on a Tuesday when you're not in Juice, you want to know, like, "Oh, this is how I'm feeling, and now I have the why behind why I'm feeling that [00:10:00] and the how to support myself and the tools." Um, and so yeah, then we have that launch. And then, you know, all throughout this time it's inviting affiliates, and I don't take this lightly.

I want all of my affiliates that I invite to be living into the methodology of opting out of urgency in some way or another. I want my work to overlap with theirs. I want it to be adjacent enough, and I want them to be people that, like, I really trust, and I also know that they're gonna be putting their-- They're gonna be putting

When they write to their email list about somebody else, you always risk losing subscribers, and your email list is so personal and it matters so much, and you build it, and you build it with care, and you feed them with your words and your heart and your time. And so [00:11:00] I think that being an affiliate is no small thing.

You're gonna take time to write. You're gonna see what does opting out of urgency mean to me? What does resource mean to me? And, uh, for them, I also put together swipe copy, which were like, if I were them, how would my-- I write eight emails for opting out of urgency and eight emails for resource. And usually an affiliate will sometimes they'll copy and paste it and then put their own story in.

But generally, it's just really helpful for them to say, "Hmm. Okay. This is what-- This is the vibe." She's given me really clear examples of what the vibe is and how she would write 'em. Knowing that, now how would I, um, weave that in with who I am, what I believe in? What is my take on it? So it generally offers a really solid foundation for weaving, but I also take great care with those.

So much writing, guys. And then comes my, my own emails. [00:12:00] So I'm gonna pause

During this time, it's the summer. It's the summer in Maine, and Maine is a very cold state with long winters, but our summers are so beautiful. And so, uh, our family has a little boat, and we try to spend as much time on the water as we can. And so this is always weaving in with personal time, family time.

Uh, how can I contain this to ... Is it possible to contain it to Tuesday through Thursday? Um, my daughters are at camp. Uh, usually it was more like Monday through Friday, and trying to really be offline when I'm with the family or when we're out on the water

This year

I had scheduled a trip to [00:13:00] Peru that would land squarely when the cart was supposed to be open for Resourced. I planned this two years ago. It was something I said yes to two years ago. So it's somebody else's program, and then part of that is going to Machu Picchu, which you have to, um, have your passport in by January the year before, uh, so that they can minimize the number of people who are going to the sacred site.

Uh, it's a whole thing, right? It-- And even when I signed up two years ago, I was like, "How am I gonna know what I'm doing in September of twenty twenty-six?" Uh, I couldn't believe I was saying yes to something so far in advance. And it really, ironically, moved mountains to make this happen, and it meant starting the launch a week early, which was in August, which is the week that we're usually, uh, have a family trip on the boat up the coast of Maine

This is where [00:14:00] the sacred third comes in

Usually if I'm launching it means, like, I'm available for, uh, Instagram Lives, I'm posting every day, I'm really there to be in response to any emails that come in, and I like that. I like being full in on that. And when I talked to my friend Kate Northrup and was just like, I, you know, "How am I gonna do this?"

And blah, blah, blah, blah. And she's like, "Well, you know, you don't have to do Instagram Lives that first week. And if you've set things up for your affiliates, they're gonna be supporting you." And, you know, I can write my own newsletters, obviously, ahead of time and have them go out. And so I did that. I was like, you know, it, it's this funny thing of half in, half out.

It was with my family, and the launch was starting, and I could be like, "Wow, this is so amazing. I have some affiliates who are, like, really going all in right now, and my [00:15:00] newsletters are going out, and I really poured a lot of love into them, and then I can just step back and fully be with my family." But it was interesting.

Um, I felt that my husband was a little bit more stressed that week. And I also was checking, uh, m- m- like, how many people signed up? What's going on? What affiliates are... So I didn't have service most of the time. Um, but I was still checking, and it was a slower start than it was last year, and so I know my body was clocking that.

And so this is an example of where, like, the sacred third was a little bit like half in, half out. So if there's a shadow and a light to everything, uh, there's a possibility here that the shadow is, like, the half in, half out. Whereas possibly, like, the healthy sacred third might just be like, "This is 100% what I'm doing."

You know? I am 100%, um, like, [00:16:00] not turning my phone on, not checking, and just trusting this first week that what I have set up is good enough. That may have been another o- you know, option. So, uh, I just wanna say that the stress that I perceived from my husband, and then the stress that I was probably... that I also was feeling, which was not high, but it was more than normal, and I think that's true for both of us.

I do think our girls' bodies were reading that, and then our girls were fighting more than normal. And if you can imagine that the living space inside this boat is, like, the size of a twin bed maybe. It's so small. And like, I don't know how all of y'all feel, like if your kids are like, "No, you did it. No, you," and blah, blah, blah.

And it's like, "Ah." And there was a part that was like, "Get me..." Like the other trips, it was so great. This was like, "Get me off the boat," and I couldn't. So we're finally on land, [00:17:00] and we're walking through the store, and I just feel this little zap in my back. And I'm like, "Oh, shoot." Right? I wasn't reaching for something.

I didn't lift something heavy, but I do have this 26-year relationship with my back. I wouldn't have told you I was stressed. I wouldn't feel way overworked. Um, I was sleeping on not a great surface that week, and the week before I was on not a great surface, and, um, also up at a cabin with my family. So I was like half in with the family, but also aware of everything I had to do for this launch And so my back went out, and the first day was, like, not so bad, and the next day it got worse.

Like, just harder to walk, hard to go from sit, from sitted to seating, from sitting to standing. And by the third day when we were about to head home, I just couldn't, couldn't put my feet on the ground. And so we put the table down up top to make it, like, lay flat, and [00:18:00] I laid flat for three and a half hours as my husband drove home, which means he and I, like, really work as partners when we're on the boat, right?

It's super important, uh, unloading and ta- tending to the kiddos and, uh, meals and cleaning, and now it's, like, all on him. And I am in pretty, like, a significant amount of pain. And Yeah, it's just so interesting, right? To just be in this place of, oh, I am aware that for the next f- couple weeks I'm full on for this launch, and also really needing to rest.

And so I did. I took like a day or two where I didn't do anything, and that put a lot on my husband He really showed up for it. Um, and the kids were awesome. And I found a way through, like, standing and getting back to PT enough and, um That I could really be there. [00:19:00] It was this funny thing of being out of service while trying to be in service to people, right?

Like out of, um, out of Wi-Fi service while trying to be in service to my program. What do I wanna say from there? We ended up serving over 2,000 people. Uh, I felt so focused. And to be honest with you, you know, that sounded like bad news, everything I just said. We had a lot of highlights on the boat, and

I loved the launch. I love talking to people about opting out of urgency, and the more I talk about it, the more powerful I understand it to be. And with everything, even with urgency, I talk about the benefit of urgency, right? The benefit of a timeline is that we get so clear on what we need to do and what doesn't need to be done.

And [00:20:00] so during the launch, I'm so clear and I'm so focused. So with a brain like mine that can get taken in so many different directions, I love that it's like, no, today I'm reworking my website. No, today I'm getting these three podcasts done. Today I'm doing these three interviews. Like, I love the clarity.

I I, I don't know what to say. It just, it, like, feels really good. And I'm also aware that it's for a short period of time, so what we learn in opting out of urgency is that if you can find your agency within the time-bound place, this is where our power lives, right? This is where, in the cycle of the seasons, this would be, like, the summer season, where you're taking clear action.

And the three days of teaching opting out of urgency, you know, we had over 2,000 people sign up for it, which is about what we had last year. [00:21:00] I had the time of my life. I reworked the whole slideshow from every single day, uh, uh, every day from last year. I felt clear. I felt on point. I love that we started by welcoming people, like, "Welcome as you are.

What are two feelings you're feeling?" And people got to come in with, like, happy and exhausted, nervous and excited. These things were often on opposite ends of the s- of the emotional, the scale. And we do four minutes to a song of nervous system work, and then people are like, "Oh," their feelings are mo- more coherent.

Uh, one is not bad and one is not good. One makes a lot of sense for coming into a container where you're hoping to learn something but you don't know the person, and plus you're exhausted from the day, and the other is just that you have created a sense of safety in your system. So I love that we did that.

I love that each day has something [00:22:00] so specific that people could take home and really do something with. Like, if you don't sign up for my course, and you take these three days, and you just, you know, work day one, like, work that chart that I gave you, and just keep playing with it and keep reworking it, that, like, you go so far.

You get so much support. And then if you take that into the themes of the next two days, literally your life could change. Uh, I love the way that I said upfront, um, "I will be mentioning Resource." That is the course that I have at the end. I will be weaving in some testimonials, and you'll get so much and plenty from the free.

And waiting until the third day, it was new for me to offer the program on the third day. So waiting until the third day to say, "Would anybody like to hear-" about Resourced and waiting for people to say yes and just let everybody else know, "Hey, if you are here for the free three days and you're [00:23:00] not interested in Resourced, thank you so much for coming.

Anybody who wants to hear more, I'm gonna talk about that for the next 10 to 15 minutes." And it felt so clean. It felt like if you were here for the free thing and you didn't wanna hear about Resourced, you can leave, and thank you so much for coming. Um, it just felt really clean, and it felt really exciting.

And, um

I also offered a fast action bonus. And I am very aware that the course is called Opting Out of Urgency, and then I offered a fast action bonus. So what I did, since that opened up on Thursday and the fast action bonus went through midnight on Thursday, was to give people 24 hours notice before I offered it

And it was like, "Hey, if you're like me and you need to sleep on things, I'm letting you know that I'm gonna offer a fast [00:24:00] action bonus tomorrow." And I, I received a pretty, what I perceived as, like, a pretty nasty email, um, from one person, and the words "Tsk, tsk" were in it. Um, and like, "I hope those 2,000 people," et cetera, et cetera, um Yeah, like how could you do a fast action bonus and be saying opting out of urgency?

Here's what I feel really, really clear on, is that oftentimes more time doesn't help us. Sometimes more time helps us. Oftentimes, like I- we are building a house right now, and they'll say like, "Oh, we'll give you till next week." What I know is that my husband and I are basically gonna wait until next week and then be like, "Oh my gosh, we have to decide tonight what we're doing for this or that."

That sometimes just saying like, you know, "You have [00:25:00] to, here in 24 hours, let us know." Um, but guess what? If they don't answer in those 24 hours, they're still gonna get, there's like a second fast action bonus that happened through Friday, which was one month free to Juice plus lifetime access to opting out of urgency.

Um, there's this really funny thing. Oh my gosh, I hope you've stayed with me till this far because if you only take this away from this whole story is this. There's this story about, it's not a story, it's a study that happened with monkeys. And I've seen the video on YouTube and I will never forget it because it reminds me how closely linked we are to our primal ancestors.

And essentially, the monkeys get a cucumber, like a slice of a cucumber every time they get something right. The reward is a cucumber. And [00:26:00] Um Then one time both monkeys get something ripe and the researcher gives one monkey a grape and one monkey a cucumber, and the monkey who gets the grape is just like so excited and eats a grape, and the monkey who gets a cucumber looks at the cucumber, looks at the other monkey who has a grape, looks back at the cucumber, and throws the cucumber at the researcher.

And I think this is a little bit what happened 'cause I was like, "Wait, in literally just offering like something extra, you are not... Like, there's... Nobody is getting... There's no harm." Like, you are gonna get this amazing program that I am so sure is... Like, could be easily sold for $3,500, but I'm selling it for $1,750, and everybody's gonna get that, and everybody's gonna get another three months of, uh, of the daily drips after it's over.

You're gonna get so much support during this. You're gonna get Q&As. There's like... [00:27:00] I have no doubt on the worth and value of this program. Why am I doing a fast action bonus? Because it closes a circuit for me. So it'll close a circuit for those who are, who are like, "I know I wanna do this, but I'm nervous," where they get to go like, "Okay, I'm gonna do this," and they get to get excited, and they get to be like, "Plus, I get a free 30-minute class with Sarah."

So I'm giving 30 minutes of my time to every person who signs up early. So my price for knowing that people have signed up for the program, so my nervous system can be like, "Okay, we have, you know, we have enough people to run this program," is that I, in January, am giving up my one-on-one slots to people who are signing up early.

So it's closing a loop for them, closing a loop for me, and the cost for me is my one-on-one slots. The benefit is I get to know these people better too and that, like, the people who have been through the program [00:28:00] now get to do something very specific for their system. Um, yeah. So anyway, that was interesting, um, to have somebody write to me and say, "Tsk, tsk," because I don't know if any of you have ever done something where you worked for four months and put your heart and soul into it, and 2,000 people are gonna get four and a half hours, and possibly they get the meditations too that you offered for free.

And the math is usually that maybe 30 people sign up And it's this thing of like, um, you know, in Peru, the biggest lesson that I learned from the way that people lived there was sacred reciprocity. And it doesn't mean that anybody should have to buy because I said it was free, right? But when something is free, and then I had people reaching out, getting mad that I wouldn't give them more things for free or give them longer than the days that I said were they would [00:29:00] be free for, or when I offered something even more for people who, uh, would be able to close that loop early while not taking away or detracting from those who would do it in the following 24 hours who still got more bonuses or who waited until the very last night or some people signed up the day after.

It's like you have so much choice here. And if you are like me and you sign up last minute, so great. You're still gonna get the program just like everybody else. So it, um I always wonder when people write me emails, you know, I, I found myself defending myself like, "Hey, like, most likely 1,970 people are gonna get four and a half hours of really, really intentional training for free."

I, it feels generous to me. [00:30:00] Um, yeah, it's, it's just, it's really interesting to, like, feel so excited and feel so, uh, generous, and still I just wanna put out there, yes, I'm trying to run a business too. So it's not just generosity, and it's not just my heart. I am also running a business, so I do also want to make sales, and I do want this to be something where I put energy in and I get, um, energy back, right?

Like, uh, in the form of finances. I want this to be a profitable b- profitable business It's like beginning a sentence, end of sentence. I also want this to be a profitable b- business. And yeah, you know, I got the same thing with people who, many people, like could not watch Opting Out of Urgency in time.

There was a 12, 12 days to be able to watch it in. Um, so some people bought it for $97, and then some people wrote a couple weeks later like, "Oh, I couldn't [00:31:00] get to it. I'd love access. Can you open it?" And when we said, "We can't. We're not doing that." Um, or not we can't, "This is the container we've chosen.

These days were the days we've told everyone it would be for free, and after that it's $97. And if we open it for you, it opens it to everybody, and other people have already paid." And, uh, having the, um... These are not, someone write, "These are not boundaries. You are just greedy." And

One friend was on the trip with me and, um, she said that makes it such an easy, like, delete. Like, they are not your people and that's okay, and you do not have to respond, and it's just clear information that these are not your people. Uh, what I wanna say is

Emails that don't feel good also feel like an invite for me to [00:32:00] be like, "I wonder why that hooked. I wonder what part of that hooked." And this interesting thing in the wellness world where if you are doing something with your heart It, there's an idea that it should all be for free, or that you should accept every scholarship request, because we had so many scholarship requests too.

Um, and that is also an interesting t- thing for me to feel into what is the ratio of paid participation and scholarships where I want to be of service, I really wanna be of service, and I have to honor that every person that I say yes to, they may be the people that email me more often, or they may be the people that I barely know are in the course, right?

I don't know the level of help each person is going to need, but I have to be aware that each person who comes into the [00:33:00] container

is going to matter to the energetics of the container. And that because someone comes in for free doesn't mean that I'm not gonna be helpful to them. And so I really, you know, sit with all of these emails that come in where people are expressing their great need for help, um, financially, emotionally, nervous system, et cetera.

And I am in awareness of the container itself, of my energy, of their needs, and where and how I can be helpful or of service while wanting to be con- uh, aware of sustainability and reciprocity. Um- If you're like, "Why did she tell the monkey thing?" If that's not clear, the monkey thing I told because, um[00:34:00]

Because I wonder, right? If the program were just the program and there were no, like, fast action bonuses, that people wouldn't feel like, "Oh man, now I'm being gypped because I can't make my decision faster." It's like the cucumber is still there, the program is still there. But because there was, like, a bonus, we feel gypped if we, um, aren't able to make a decision in time.

But it's like the value is still fully there. Um- Yeah, and I just, so I just wanna say out loud that I am working with and aware of this thing of like when you give things for free, that there can be an attitude that you can t- that you will forever owe people, that somehow you forever owe people more things for free.

And being in Peru, which will be its [00:35:00] own episode, was just so beautiful to watch these people, um, often people who were in the role of guide, just like pour water back to the earth, just constantly offering prayers, gratitude, wishes, um, coca leaves back to the earth, placing physical prayer back to the earth, looking in all four directions.

It's like as they receive, they give. As they receive, they give. And

I can see, um, how in the West So much of our energy can be in, like, what can I receive? What can I receive? What can I receive? And so many of our, us are also over-givers, where it's like what can I give, what can I give, what can I give? And so to just watch these humans, and actually most of them happen to be men, to [00:36:00] watch them move from their hearts and to watch them move as, like, a constant prayer was stunning.

It was stunning. And the last thing I'll say about the lunch, if you're still with me, um, which I think some of you are, I can feel you I made a decision. So last live call was on Thursday, and I made a decision to fly to Peru on Sunday while the cart was still open because I know, you know, Thursday, fast, fast, fast action bonus.

Friday night was the close of the other fast action bonus, so everybody in those first two days would get access to opting out of urgency, um, for lifetime and also one month of juice. And I anticipated that Saturday and Sunday would be the slowest days of the cart, and that the [00:37:00] last two days, Monday, Tuesday, would pick up again.

So I decided to travel to Peru early so I'd have time to acclimate so that I didn't feel rushed once I was there. Like, waiting until Thursday... Originally, I was gonna wait till Thursday to fly there, and then I would be, like, jumping right into the retreat, and the altitude is pretty significant. And I went, and I'll say this more in the Peru trip one.

Um, and I was like, "Everything was going so well." And, um, 24 hours, you could say it was intense, but, like, I was in such a good place. It was amazing. And then I got food poisoning the next day, and I lost everything from the inside in multiple public places, um, planes, trains, automobiles, um, on my way. So that was not how I planned on spending Monday.

Um, all of the emails were [00:38:00] pre-prepared, but I still always go back and, like, look at them. Is this really what I wanna say? And, uh, is there anything I'd update? And, uh, so I landed, and I got to have, um, the, the house I was staying in with... There was a nurse practitioner who owned the place, and she gave me an IV, and everything was all good.

On Tuesday, cart close. I got two emails out instead of three. I really took my time. I really just let my body be tired. I really let myself rest in bed. I did not push. Uh, that night I did an abundance meditation where I could just really attune to all the things that were there in support of me and feel so full and so vibrant.

Uh, the numbers were not where I had hoped, and if any of you are listening like, "Gross, she's talking about numbers, and we're talking about people," I just wanna say both/and. I freaking love getting to know these people. I know these are women who [00:39:00] are caretakers, who have huge hearts, who, uh, are ready to do the work.

And business-wise, like, what does it take to run this, and what did it take to have Heather support me through the back end for four months leading up to it, right? And doing this abundance meditation, it's about 45 minutes, um, really landed me in a place where I'm like, "I'm so good. I'm so full. I'm so grateful."

Um, and my gratitude feels like that reciprocity, and I went to bed, and I did not send the third email, and I did not look at who signed up, and I just went to sleep feeling so grateful and so abundant and so supported. And the next day when I woke up, we have 10 more beautiful women who joined the program, and I was already okay.

Anybody who is an entrepreneur who does launches and you just know possibly, like, the ups and the [00:40:00] downs and the rollercoaster. Um, when I do my Peru recap, I just wanna say that the mountains were the medicine, and it was possibly ironic that I felt like I was moving mountains to get there. And I gave myself a week upon returning from Peru so that when I start Resourced, I start as resourced as possible myself.

Uh, my back is doing great, and the trip was transforming, transformative, and informing. And, uh Man, I'm so grateful for the whole process, the whole launch. Um, the kind emails, the ones that felt more like daggers, uh, I learned from all of them. I'm not, like, wishing for thousands more of the hard ones, but, uh, I see the [00:41:00] opportunity for growth, and I see where I can get more support myself.

And, um, and next year, actually, in a week or two, Heather and I will sit down and recap together, uh, what went really well, where could we get more support, because I think we could have received more support for sure during the launch so, um, not so much was following, falling on us. And, uh, definitely, you know, Heather was carrying such a heavy load, too.

So, uh, we did it, and I think we did it with grace. I'm really proud of us. Really, really proud of us. Um, and I'm so, so excited to be of service to the women in this program. It is a spectacular group of women, a truly spectacular group. I hope this was helpful. I hope that, uh, stories land just as much as information, uh, and possibly in a different way.

In Peru, one of my guides was just like, "Let's just sit here [00:42:00] Until we can see and feel this with our hearts

And I think that stories help to weave that so that our hearts can be a part of the process as well as our minds, so we can really have this both/and as we go forward. Thank you for listening, and I will see you next week
